Terms of Service

The agreement between you and Vizzls. In short: your resume and your writing stay yours, Vizzls hosts them for a subscription, and either side can walk away.

1. Who this agreement is with

Vizzls is a small independent business, built and run by Kyle Coogler in Iowa, United States — you can see who that is on LinkedIn. In these terms “Vizzls”, “we” and “us” mean that business. They cover the Vizzls website, the app, and any site you publish through it (together, the “Service”).

By creating an account or using the Service you accept these terms. If you don’t accept them, please don’t use the Service. If you are agreeing on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to bind it.

2. What Vizzls does

You upload a resume. Automated tools, including artificial intelligence, read it and build a personal website from what they find. You can edit everything, choose a design, and publish it at a vizzls.com web address.

Features will change as the product develops. If a change materially reduces what you get, you’ll be told before it takes effect for you.

3. Your account

  • You must be 18 or older to have an account, and able to enter a contract where you live.
  • Use an email address you actually read — notices about your site and your billing go there.
  • You are responsible for your password and for what happens through your account. If you think someone else has access, say so at Kyle Coogler on LinkedIn straight away.
  • One person, one account. Don’t share logins.

4. Subscriptions, billing and cancellation

Vizzls is a paid service. The current prices are $7.99 per month, or $59.88 paid once for twelve months — see Pricing for what each includes. Prices are in US dollars and exclude any tax we’re required to add. Payments are processed by Stripe; card details never reach Vizzls.

  • Automatic renewal. Both plans renew automatically — monthly plans every month, yearly plans every twelve months — at the then-current price, and keep renewing until you cancel. You agree to that when you subscribe, and the price and the renewal date are shown before you pay.
  • Reminders. Before a yearly plan renews, you’ll get an email telling you the date and the amount, in time to cancel if you’d rather not renew.
  • Cancelling. Cancel whenever you like, from your account settings — no email, no phone call, no retention maze. Your subscription and your published site stay up until the end of the period you’ve already paid for.
  • Switching between monthly and yearly. You can switch at any time. The change takes effect at your next renewal, at the price of the plan you switched to; the term you’re already in runs to its end and isn’t refunded or pro-rated.
  • Refunds. Payments are otherwise non-refundable, except where the law requires otherwise or where the Service has plainly failed. If something has gone wrong, get in touch first — sorting it out beats arguing about it.
  • Price changes. You’ll get at least 30 days’ notice by email before a price change affects you, and you can cancel before it takes effect.
  • Failed payments. A failed payment may be retried and, after reasonable notice, your published site may be taken down until payment succeeds. Nothing you wrote is deleted for non-payment — see section 11 for how long it is kept.

5. Promotional offers and free periods

Vizzls sometimes runs an offer — a free or discounted period, or a launch price for early subscribers. Where one applies to you, the offer terms are shown before you sign up: how long the free or discounted period lasts, what it costs afterwards, and when the first charge happens.

  • What happens at the end. A promotional period does not end the subscription. When it runs out, the subscription continues automatically at the standard price for the plan you chose, on the same renewal cadence, unless you cancel before then.
  • Your card. An offer may still ask for a payment method up front. It is held by Stripe and not charged during the free or discounted period.
  • A reminder before the first charge. Where a free or discounted period runs longer than 31 days, you’ll get an email between 3 and 21 days before it ends, telling you the date, the amount, what happens next, and how to cancel.
  • Cancelling during an offer. Cancel at any time and you keep the free or discounted period to its end, with nothing charged afterwards.
  • Limits. Offers may be limited in number or in time, are one per person, can’t be combined with another offer, have no cash value, and can be changed or withdrawn before you claim one. An offer claimed by opening extra accounts, or otherwise abused, can be cancelled.

6. Your content stays yours

Your resume, your writing, your photographs and anything else you put into Vizzls remain yours. Vizzls claims no ownership of them.

You give Vizzls a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, copy, adapt, process and display that content strictly to operate the Service for you — which means sending your resume to the AI provider so it can be read and written up, showing your site to the people you share it with, and keeping backups. The licence lasts only as long as the content is held, and ends when it is deleted.

Your content is never sold, never published anywhere you didn’t publish it yourself, and never used to advertise Vizzls without asking you first.

7. AI-generated writing

Parts of your site are drafted by an AI model from what it reads in your resume. AI gets things wrong. It can misread dates, invent tidy phrasing that isn’t quite true, or miss something that matters.

Check everything before you publish it. Nothing goes public until you say so, and every word is editable. Vizzls doesn’t warrant that generated text is accurate, and isn’t liable for what a published site says about you.

8. What you must not do

  • Upload a resume or details that aren’t yours, or impersonate anyone.
  • Publish content that is unlawful, defamatory, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, or that infringes someone else’s rights.
  • Use Vizzls to send spam, run phishing, distribute malware, or host content unrelated to presenting a person’s professional work.
  • Scrape, crawl, resell, sublicense or white-label the Service, or use it to build a competing product.
  • Attempt to break, overload, or gain unauthorised access to the Service or to anyone else’s account or site.

9. Your web address

Published sites live on a vizzls.com address that you choose while it is available. The address is licensed to you for as long as your subscription runs; you don’t own it. An address may be reclaimed if it impersonates someone, infringes a trade mark, is being squatted, or is needed to run Vizzls itself — with notice and a chance to pick another wherever that is reasonably possible.

10. Vizzls’s own material

The Vizzls name, logo, templates, designs and software belong to Vizzls and stay that way. Publishing a site gives you the right to use a template as part of that site — it doesn’t give you the template.

11. Ending it, and what happens to your content

You can stop at any time: cancel the subscription from your account settings, or ask at Kyle Coogler on LinkedIn to have your account and everything in it deleted outright.

  • If your subscription ends — your site comes off the web, and everything you wrote is kept for 12 months so you can come back and pick it up. After that it is deleted, and you’ll get an email before that happens.
  • If you ask for deletion — your account and your content go within 30 days, without waiting out the 12 months. Ask for a copy first and you’ll get one.
  • If your site needs to come down sooner — say so and it is unpublished promptly, whether or not the subscription is still running.

Vizzls may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms, that the law requires action against, or that puts the Service or other people at risk — with a warning and a chance to put it right wherever the circumstances allow. If an account is terminated without cause, the unused part of what you paid is refunded. The retention and deletion timings above are set out in full in the Privacy Policy.

12. Availability

Vizzls works to keep the app and published sites up, but doesn’t promise uninterrupted service. Maintenance, third-party outages and plain bad luck happen. The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”.

13. Disclaimers

To the fullest extent the law allows, all implied warranties are disclaimed, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Vizzls helps you present your experience — it does not promise interviews, job offers, clients, or any particular outcome.

14. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, neither side is liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for lost profits, lost opportunities or lost data. Total liability arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the greater of what you paid in the twelve months before the claim, or $50.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.

15. Indemnity

You’ll cover Vizzls for claims, damages and reasonable legal costs arising from content you published through the Service or from your breach of these terms — provided you are told about the claim promptly and allowed to take part in defending it.

16. Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated. If a change is material, account holders get an email at least 30 days before it takes effect. Carrying on using the Service after that means accepting the new terms; if you’d rather not, cancel before they take effect and the unused part of your subscription is refunded.

17. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Iowa, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, and the courts located there have exclusive jurisdiction — except that either side may bring a claim in small-claims court where eligible, and nothing here removes rights you have under the mandatory consumer law of the country you live in.

18. The rest

  • These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement about the Service.
  • If any part is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force.
  • Not enforcing something once doesn’t mean it has been given up.
  • You may not transfer your account to someone else without consent. Vizzls may transfer these terms as part of a sale or reorganisation of the business, on notice to you.
